Last night’s episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’ was one of the best episodes so far! Priyanka Chopra, who is now a global sensation was the first solo guest this season. The actress didn’t even bat an eyelid before making revelations that other actors would shy away from, or call an intrusion of privacy. Here’s how the episode unfolded:
Quantico was my first audition!
PeeCee revealed that since she had won the Miss World pageant before entering the Indian film industry, she never went through the grueling process of auditions and screen tests. However, since she was a complete newcomer in the American television industry, she had to audition for ‘Quantico’. It was her very first audition and it was absolutely nerve-wracking. She also admitted that it was her foray in music that helped her gain entry in Hollywood.
Indian fans are the best!
When Karan asked Priyanka, “Has it ever happened that you’re shooting for ‘Quantico’ and you created a lot of noise because of your Indian stardom?” Priyanka had the sweetest reply. Priyanka revealed, “Yeah, it’s really funny. The Indian fans push the American fans out of their way. They are like ‘MOVE OUT OF THE WAY Y’ALL!’ And the American fans are like ‘Excuse me, can we have a photo? We love your show!’”
When Karan brought up Tom Hiddleston
Priyanka: I was presenting with Tom Hiddleston at the Emmys and the tabloids made a big deal out of it! To this Karan said, “But he is ‘The Night Manager’,” and PeeCee said, “So? He can manage the nights. I only met him for ten minutes.”
On how she deals with unwanted male attention
When quizzed about the unwanted male attention that comes with the territory, Priyanka confessed, “I just giggle a lot. Then I find someone across the room. And leave the guy with ‘hold that thought I’ll be right back’. And PeeCee out!”
Priyanka: Itni bhi forward nahi hu main!
Priyanka revealed that there’s a world of difference between Indian men and men in the West when it comes to approaching women. She said, “Men here are cautious. They’ll compliment you here and there, buy you presents and all. It’s very gentle. Over there, men ask you straight up, ‘I’m free tomorrow night, let’s go out for dinner’. And I’m like ‘wow man, I don’t even know you.’ Men there, throw me off.”
PeeCee: Single or Married, I'll work till my fans love me
When asked about her future plans, Priyanka said, “When there is a ring on the finger, the world will know. I believe you are single until you are married.” She further added, “Single or Married, I'll work till my fans love me," and went on to praise Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kajol who have continued to work post marriage.
Time for Koffee Shots!
Remember when Priyanka did tequila shots on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’? This time it was time for koffee shots with KJo! In this segment, PeeCee really did make some big revelations! She revealed that she has kissed an ex, had phone sex and has never indulged in role play. Though Priyanka did confess to many things, she hoped that her mother would not watch the show. How cute!
The RAT race!
In a brand new segment designed only for Priyanka, the challenge was to answer 30 questions within a span of two and a half minutes out of which she had to get minimum 20 of them correct! Before starting this segment PeeCee inquired KJo if he had spiked the Koffee from the previous segment as she felt a little tipsy. Karan, however, dodged the question and promised that the adrenaline rush from the forthcoming round would help her get over that.
Priyanka was asked fun questions like ‘name three Ranveer Singh movies’, ‘name three Mughal emperors’, 'name three Prime Ministers of India’. She did extremely well except that she got stuck trying to recall the third PM and the Mughal Emperor.
The best part was when KJo asked her three words she would like to say to her Twitter haters. PeeCee said, “One starts with F, other with S and the last one is Get Lost."
