The horrific incident that took place on streets of Bengaluru on New Year's Eve sent waves of shock and anger across the country. Despite the presence of 1500 cops to guard the safety of people, several women were openly molested on the streets by an unruly crowd.

This case of mass molestation left many people enraged. Amongst many voices heard, Bollywood too lent its support to the cause. ‘Dangal’ star Aamir Khan opened up about the incident and said, “What happened in Bengaluru was very sad. We all are saddened and feel ashamed when something like this happens in our country. Every state government should take a step for this. I don't think there is just one solution for this. You see in America, if an incident like this happens, within two-three months the guilty person is punished and the case is closed. When this changes, I feel there will be a big change."

Talking about how important it is to generate fear in the minds of such culprits, Aamir said, “In today's age, people who misbehave with girls think 'nothing will happen to us.' When such examples come in front of us, that whoever did this is behind bars within 2-3 months, and continuously if we see this, situations will change. There will be fear among people which is a very important thing."

Do you agree with what solution Aamir has presented?
