Is Aamir Khan's character in 'Secret Superstar' based on Anu Malik?

Aamir Khan's 'Secret Superstar' is eagerly being awaited by his audience. Recently, the trailer for the film had come out and his fans couldn't be more excited to watch the movie. Now, apparently, there are rumours that Aamir's quirky depiction of a music composer Shakti Kumarr in the film is supposedly based on a very famous Bollywood music composer. And who may this person be, you ask? Well, it's none other than Anu Malik. The teaser and trailer of the film features Aamir Khan exhibiting mannerisms that bare similarities with Anu Malik's real-life persona.
When Aamir was quizzed about this striking similarity of his character with Anu Malik, the actor dodged the question stating, "Shakti Kumarr is an amalgamation of 5 musicians from our Industry." He further made a very witty comment stating, "Please watch the film and tell me who do you think my character is based on." He neither confirmed nor denied the rumours.
Well, it looks like only time will tell whether Aamir's character is indeed related to Anu Malik or not. Produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao under the banner name of Aamir Khan Productions, Zee Studios, and Akash Chawla, 'Secret Superstar' is written and directed by Advait Chandan. The film is slated to release on 19th October 2017.
