Aamir Khan: Shah Rukh, Salman and I are distinct in our philosophy of work

Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, the biggest stars in Bollywood, are often pitted against each other in terms of critical and commercial success. However, the three are different in their style of filmmaking and approach. They have a different set of fan base, and their sensibilities while approaching a film is different. And yet, the three undoubtedly remained one of the most worshipped stars in the country.

Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir have completed 25 years in the industry, and though their journeys have seen ups and downs, the three have remained unbeatable in their own skins. Talking about an unending stardom of over 25 years, Aamir said, “I guess somebody up there is looking out. Usually, stardom lasts for about seven-eight years. Ten years is a long time, 15 years, a very long time. But 25 years is unusual. I can’t explain it. There’s no logical explanation for this.”

Talking about Shah Rukh and Salman’s stardom, Aamir adds, “Yeah, all three of us are distinct in our philosophy of work and the work we choose. All three of us have been going strong for 25 years. Shah Rukh ka alag style aur raasta hai, mera alag style aur raasta hai, Salman ka alag raasta hai. There’s no logic. You can’t pinpoint why we’re still there.”

On the work front, Aamir will be next seen in a special appearance in ‘Secret Superstar’. The actor is also currently prepping for his role in ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ which also stars the superlative Amitabh Bachchan.
