Aamir Khan gets candid about 'Thugs of Hindostan' and his alleged involvement in Fatima Sana Shaikh bagging the part
Recently there was much speculation that Aamir Khan's next movie, 'Thugs of Hindostan' was inspired by Johnny Depp's iconic Hollywood film, 'Pirates of Carribean'. However, in a recent media interaction, Aamir Khan slammed the rumours that the film was inspired by any other film.

When asked about the apparent similarity between the two, Aamir said, "The film is not inspired from any other film. It is an action adventure film but the story is not similar."

The actor further continued, "There are some hundreds of action adventure films. There is 'Pirates of Caribbean', there is 'Indiana Jones' and many others. All these are action adventure films. So the genre of our film is action adventure but the story is different. Even my character in the film is not similar to any other character.”

On being further quizzed about Fatima's part in the film and his alleged involvement, Aamir said, "Fatima is the heroine of the film. I am very happy as she is a very good artist, she suits the role."

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles, 'Thugs of Hindostan' is all set to go on floors in June.
