As reported earlier, Abhishek Bachchan was in talks with filmmaker Ronnie Screwvala for a slice-of-life comedy film, also starring Irrfan Khan. However, a recent report suggests that Abhishek has opted out of the film as the shooting dates are supposedly clashing with J.P Dutta's war-drama titled 'Paltan'.

A source close to a leading daily revealed, "The film was to roll in January 2018 because Irrfan is busy shooting for his next Hollywood film. Given that the film follows a group of men on a road trip, it relies on the camaraderie between the actors. Irrfan and Abhishek hit it off well when they met. But, last week, it was conveyed to us that Abhishek has pulled out of the film since the schedule, and the time he had to put in to prepare for the film, was clashing with the schedule of JP Dutta’s 'Paltan'."

The source further went on to say that Abhishek took this decision as he was unwilling to turn J.P Dutta down as he made his Bollywood debut with Dutta's 'Refugee'. The team is now planning to cast Ayushmann Khurrana in place of Abhishek Bachchan in the film. "Akarsh and writer Hussain Dalal have reached out to Ayushmann, but he is yet to sign on the dotted line," concluded the source.
