Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra to star in Sahir Ludhianvi ‘s biopic?

Earlier there were reports that suggested filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali was in talks with Shah Rukh Khan for playing Urdu poet-lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi in his biopic. Contrary to those reports, rumour mills are abuzz that Abhishek Bachchan has been roped in to play the role of Sahir Ludhianvi.
As reported by a leading daily, Abhishek has been approached to play the Urdu poet-lyricist's role, and Priyanka Chopra has been roped in to play his love interest Amrita Pritam. The film is titled 'Gustakhiyan', and the story will portray Sahir’s relationship with poetess-novelist Amrita Pritam. The story will be based on Sahir and Amrita's relationship before the Urdu poet went on to romance singer-actress Sudha Malhotra.
If 'Gustakhiyan' stars Abhishek and Priyanka together, then the two will be seen sharing screen space after almost nine years. Priyanka and Abhishek have worked together on films that include 'Drona', 'Bluffmaster', and 'Dostana', all of which saw the two share a great camaraderie.
