It's definitely been a while since we've seen Abhishek Bachchan on the screen, however, the actor is signing a couple of films now but he is making sure to take baby steps and to select the right projects. And recent reports suggest that Abhishek Bachchan will step into Farhan Akhtar’s shoes in the 'Jigarthanda' remake.

Farhan apparently walked out of the project which then prompted Abhishek to take his role. “Ever since Farhan decided to not be part of this project, the makers were looking at the right casting. Abhishek has been approached for this film, and he seems to have liked the script,” a source close to the film said. Reportedly Farhan and Sanjay Dutt were supposed to play the roles of an assistant director and a gangster respectively, in the remake of the Tamil movie which also bagged the National Award. The film will now be helmed by Nishikant Kamat.

The original Tamil film was based on an assistant director who gets fired from a reality show and he then decides to make a film on real-life gangster Assault Sethu. Well, we bet Abhishek will do a great job in the film and we can't wait to spot him on the silver screen again!
