Aditya Roy Kapur and NOT Arjun Kapoor to star in ‘Shiddat’ with Varun Dhawan

There are many speculations in relation to the cast of Karan Johar's 'Shiddat'. While Varun Dhawan is the only confirmed actor on board, there were reports that Jhanvi Kapoor will be making her big Bollywood debut opposite him. Rumour mills were also abuzz with the reports of Arjun Kapoor joining Varun as a lead in 'Shiddat'.

However, a leading daily recently informed that not Arjun but Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen playing the parallel lead alongside Varun in the film.

A source close to the leading daily revealed, "Director Abhishek Varman made a few alterations in the script, as suggested by Karan. A slight change was made to the cast lineup. And following that, Varun’s still on board but Arjun isn’t."

Considering that Varun and Arjun share a great camaraderie, it would have been great to see the two together on screen. To this, the source adds, "But Aditya and Varun share a bonding, too. One that grew on the Dream Team tour. Moreover, Karan, who’s close to Aditya, was keen on casting him and Varun together."
