After Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan reveals why he stays mum on social issues

Recently, after Meryl Streep’s sensational speech at the Golden Globe Awards, many stars in India were questioned as to unlike her, why they do not speak on issues that are relevant today in the society.

Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan then penned an article for The Indian Express in which he expressed how baseless these accusations were. “People start questioning why Shah Rukh Khan is not speaking. If something is not affecting me or I have no knowledge about it, I am allowed to remain silent. If I don’t want to talk about an issue, does it make you less aware or less of a person?” said SRK.

And now, ‘Kaabil’ star Hrithik Roshan too opened up about the same. In a recent interview with DNA, when the star was asked why he seldom comments or takes a stand on social media on a social or political issue, Hrithik retorted, “I will only enter a space where I can contribute and not just be a part of the noise. I will not join the bandwagon of making noise as I feel that my time and my energy is very important to me and I am going to use it well.”
