Akash Ambani and Sholka Mehta's sangeet ceremony to have a performance by Maroon 5?

'Tis the season of weddings and while B-town may be done with their share, the Amabnis are just beginning. Last year, Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal made the headlines when it was announced that International pop sensation Beyonce was to perform at the couple's sangeet function. And boy did she own the function with her performance. Now, it looks like Isha's brother Akash Ambani and his fiancee Shloka Mehta who are all set to tie the knot have taken a cue from Isha.
As per reports, the couple is all set to have Maroon 5 perform at their sangeet. Talk about having an extravagant affair! Speaking about the same a source revealed that both Akash and Shloka are huge fans of Maroon 5 which is why they're planning on having the American pop rock band perform at their sangeet function.
The source said, "Since Shloka and Akash are both fans of Maroon 5, the family thought it fitting to have them perform for the couple at the sangeet that will be held on March 8. While Akash's favourite track is Sugar in which the band is seen gatecrashing weddings, Shloka loves Move Like Jagger."
The source even added that the band will play for over 40 minutes and will even include the couple's favourite tracks. "Naturally, these two chartbusters have found a place in the set that the band is putting together for their gig. They are expected to perform for almost 40 minutes with other hits like She Will Be Loved, Makes Me Wonder and One More Night on the playlist. The team of sound designers that frequently works with Maroon 5 is coming down from Canada to check on the arrangements." Well, we're sure this is going to be one remarkable sangeet function.
As of now, the wedding celebrations have already begun and quite a few Bollywood celebs are already present with the Ambani family in Switzerland. The couple is all set to tie the knot on March 9 at Jio World Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex. The families will then host a grand wedding reception on March 11. Stay tuned for more updates.
