According to a leading tabloid, Akshay recently said, “Our brave jawans in the CRPF martyred their lives for the sake of the nation in the recent Sukma attack. It's my heartfelt appeal to everyone that if you want to truly pay your tribute to our fallen braves, then visit the Indian government's website bharatkeveer.gov.in and make your contribution to show their families that India stands with them in solidarity in this moment of grief."

He further added, “I'm disappointed that certain small-minded people have created fake websites and apps. I'm ashamed at such people. But I'm heartened when I see all of you come together to help the martyrs through the government's official website bharatkeveer.gov.in."

Akshay had launched the website with the government’s support and made it accessible to the common man. Anyone who wishes to make a monetary donation to the martyrs' families, with an upper limit of Rs 15 lacs to a single family, can do so with the help of this website.
