Akshay Kumar starrer 'Kesari's' latest poster looks all kinds of epic

With about five films lined up to release this year, 2019 hands down belongs to the khiladi, Akshay Kumar. But since it’s Akshay Kumar we’re talking about, it’s not just the number of films, but great content that is going to safeguard his position as the undisputed leader at the box office this year. (Or at least we sure hope so!)

If it’s proof you’re looking for, Akshay just unveiled a brand new poster of his upcoming period drama, Kesari and it has all the makings of a super duper hit. In the poster, we see Akshay’s back standing tall and all by himself in front of 10,000 Afghan soldiers with a sword in one of his hand. The film Kesari is based on the story of a proud Sikh soldier who fought the Battle of Saragarhi (1897.)

The actor took to Twitter to share the poster.He wrote, ''Unraveling the pages of history to the bravest battle ever fought. #GlimpsesOfKesari from tomorrow, are you ready?''





In the film, Akshay is playing the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, who helmed the Sikhs in the Battle of Saragarhi and defended his post against an army of 10,000 Afghan soldiers. Singh even managed to successfully stop two attacks. The film stars Parineeti Chopra against Akshay and is slated to release on March 21st this year.
