Enough of socially relevant films, Akshay ready for a mad comedy again

Akshay Kumar is known for his socially significant and highly relevant contribution to Indian cinema. With movies like ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’, ‘Jolly LLB 2’, ‘Baby’, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ and now ‘Padman’ coming up, Akshay has done probably more in terms of creating awareness in the society than any other actor.
However, in case you are missing the actor’s funny streak on screen, it is soon to make a comeback. In a recent interview, Akshay said, “I want to do another mad comedy soon. It’s time again. See, I love to balance everything and I don’t just want to do socially relevant films. That’s not how I want to function but now, I genuinely want to do a nice comedy soon.”
Akshay’s ‘Padman’, produced by wife Twinkle Khanna, will hit the theatres next year.
