The ‘Rustom’ actor says his wife used to taunt him about not winning awards

Some actors don’t need awards to validate their talent and incomparable contribution to Indian cinema. Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who has given some unforgettable movies to Bollywood and has been applauded for his extraordinary performances on screen was never really a go grabber at awards ceremonies.

However, fans rejoiced when the ‘Khiladi’ won the National Award in the Best Actor category earlier this year for his supereb portrayal of ‘Rustom Pavri’ in the 2016 mystery crime movie ‘Rustom’. Talking about his remarkable feat, Akshay recently made a funny revelation, “My wife used to taunt me that all her family members have got several awards but not me. The taunting stopped when I got the National award.”

Twinkle  Khanna hails from an illustrious Bollywood family and is the daughter of late legendary superstar Rajesh Khanna and iconinc beauty Dimple Kapadia. Well, we are just as proud of Akshay as Mrs. Funnybones is!
