The Khiladi of Bollywood has always helped the society, by not just doing movies with social messages, but also by giving donations and starting campaigns for the better condition of the society. Akshay recommended the government to open an app to support the families of the Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

Once again Akshay Kumar has contributed to the society by giving special Diwali gift to 103 families of Martyrs in Kolhapur range of Maharashtra. He gave Rs 25,000 as a cheque to each family with a heart-warming message. Vishwas Nangare Patil, Special Inspector-general of police, Kolhapur Range in Maharashtra came up with this idea to send sweets to every martyr's family. Under his guidance, police officials made a list of 103 families of Martyrs whose families would receive this extra special gift. Akshay Kumar liked the initiative and he took part in this social cause.

In a letter Akshay writes, “We all are proud of your family member for his Sacrifice to nation. I know, you are missing your loved ones on this Diwali Festival. But I request you to start New Year with courage. Sending a small gift for sweets and books for children. Please accept with love.”
