Akshay Kumar’s ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ declared tax-free in THESE states

Pahlaj Nihalani, chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), recently watched the trailer of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ and was so impressed with the message that he tweeted that the movie should be made tax-free. And why not, since the movie not only intends to creates awareness against relevant social causes but is also aligned with PM Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat campaign

Impressed with the project, the Government has decided to extend their support so that the movie and its message reach maximum number of people. A source revealed, “The Government has decided to implement an entertainment tax exemption in all BJP-run states. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is not merely a film, but also a tool for social reform. And, this film deserves to be seen by all. Therefore, it deserves to be made tax-free.”

This indeed is great news for the makers of the movie. Helmed by Shree Narayan Singh and co-produced by Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ will hit the theatres on 11th August.
