Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra head for a split?

Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra soon became an item after the two were often spotted spending quality time with each other. While spotting at each other's residence started the rumours of an alleged affair, it was when the two swooped off for a vacation together that the further fueled these rumours. However, Alia and Sidharth have neither confirmed nor denied whenever asked if the two were in a relationship.

But now, according to a report in a leading daily, the once love birds have now called it quits. While the two heading for a splitsville was also reported earlier, the daily report suggests that the split this time is permanent. "Sidharth and Alia have split, and unlike previous instances, this time, it seems permanent. They will not get back together again," revealed an insider to the daily.

The source further added, "Alia and Sid are avoiding each other and are not even on talking terms now. Maybe with time, they will get back to being friends, but for now, they are maintaining a distance from each other. They were having a lot of fights in the recent times. Mutually, they decided it wasn’t working out and it was better to end it."

There is no apparent reason as for why have the two called it quits, however, rumours are rife that it is Sidharth's closeness to 'A Gentleman' co-star Jacqueline Fernandez that may be the reason.
