Alia Bhatt wants to settle young as she believes actresses do not have a shelf life
Actresses, in the Hindi film industry, are said to have a shelf live. However, the notions are now taking a beating with the current lot of actresses who think otherwise. And who better than Kareena Kapoor Khan to prove that! The actress has just had a baby, and there is no stopping to her when it comes to her work commitments.

And taking a cue from the way Kareena has carried herself throughout her Bollywood journey, Alia Bhatt too believes that actresses have no shelf life. Talking about planning to settle young, Alia in an interview with a leading daily said, "I want to settle down early in life because I have an advantage of having started off (in career) very early. That way (getting married), I can get done with it and continue (in my career). Also, I don’t want to settle down too late in life because that also has its own issues. But honestly, I am not thinking about it or planning as of now."

The 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' actress further added, "Earlier we used to say that an actress’ shelf life lasts only until she gets married. But I don’t think that’s true anymore. That has completely changed especially with the way Bebo has gone about her marriage and even her pregnancy. Even after getting married, she did really well in a few tough films. And now, although she delivered a baby a few months back, she is readying to get back to shooting. I think that’s the way it should be for an actor. You shouldn’t stop to acting just because you settle down, and I also don’t plan to go that way"

On the work front, Alia is currently basking in the glory of her hit film 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania'. While the actress is currently on a break, she will soon begin shooting for Ayan Mukerji's 'Dragon' co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan.
