Alia and Ranbir leave Imtiaz Ali in a lurch?

While there have been reports that Ayan Mukerji’s much publicized ‘Dragon’ is on the verge of a major budget cut or even getting shelved, no official announcement has been made yet. If things go well, the film will have Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt share the screen for the first time. And not just ‘Dragon’, the duo has been approached by Imtiaz Ali for his next as well.
However, the duo is apparently taking too long to give their nods to the movie, leaving Imtiaz hanging. A source revealed, “Alia and Ranbir have spoken to each other as well about the offer. But they are not sure whether they should agree to the film till they get a bound script. A director like Imtiaz will easily be able to procure the funds and the studios to back his movies, but he surely wants the right actors for his film.”
Both Ranbir and Alia have worked with Imtiaz in the past. Ranbir did ‘Tamasha’ and ‘Rockstar’ with him while Alia did ‘Highway’. What’s left to be seen is if the duo will team up with the filmmaker for this project.
