Alia Bhatt reveals that there is no competition between the current lot of actresses and they continue to inspire each other
Bollywood is known for its fickle friendship and has popularised the belief that two actresses can never be friends. However, by the looks of it, the current lot of Bollywood actresses is all set to shatter the age-old adage that heroines can never be friends. Be it making appearances on the popular chat show, 'Koffee With Karan' together, or supporting each other on the social media, the actress are all out to support each other.

Alia Bhatt, who is currently on a whirlwind promotional trip for her upcoming movie, 'Badrinath Ki Dulhaina' in an interview with MidDay said that there is no competition between the contemporaries. "I don't see any rat race between us, so I find it unnecessary when people say that I have gone ahead. In fact, Shraddha has delivered more Rs 100 crore films than I have. So technically, she has been more successful at the box office," revealed Alia.

The 'Dear Zindagi' actress added further, "I am fond of her and Parineeti [Chopra]. We are all doing well professionally. We are close and fond of each other's work. They have always inspired me. So I would only take joy when their films do well."

Though there is no unhealthy competition, the actress did admit that she likes to stay updated about their work. Alia concluded saying, "It's not like I read about their work on my phone every morning, but I'm aware, and there's nothing wrong in that. We are all in an encouraging, friendly and positive space."
