Post the National Awards were announced, it came as a rather disappointment for many that Alia Bhatt was not on the list for her superlative performance in 'Udta Punjab'. However, Alia remained unaffected by not being recognised with a National Award.

Talking about the same to a leading agency, Alia said, "When the film released, it got that appreciation and recognition from the people. It's not that National awards are not prestigious, but it doesn't take away the fact whatever the film has achieved."

Alia further added onto it and said that the makers didn't make the film with an intention of winning a National Award. Alia said, "We did not make a film for that purpose, so it's ok. An award is given when your efforts are rewarded. So, the people who have won, have put in more efforts and have been rewarded, so you shouldn't feel spiteful to somebody else's win. That's the wrong way of looking at it."

However, Alia feels that there is more could do in terms of acting. Talking about the same, Alia asserts, "It's very boring to be feeling fulfilled at a given point. There is no fulfilment, but there is gratitude for the opportunities that I have got."

On the work front, Alia has signed on to do two films - 'Dragon' opposite Ranbir Kapoor and 'Gully Boy' alongside Ranveer Singh.
