In recent times, the Censor Board and the filmmakers have been at loggerheads in regards to the certification of many films. Filmmakers have gone to the extent of fighting court battles against the CBFC for their regressive approach towards the freedom of cinematic expression. And with the makers of ‘Dear Zindagi’ all set for a November release, the film too had to be processed through the CBFC scanner to get a certification.
But the good news is that the film has been certified ‘U/A’ with no cuts suggested by the CBFC. A source close to the film revealed, “There is not a single cut, verbal or visual. The Board actually said that it would be a crime to cut even one shot from the film.”
This is a great news for the makers as the Censor Board has liked the film, and they can soon go all out to promote the film in the upcoming weeks.
