Amitabh Bachchan to host ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ season 9

For more than 15 years, Amitabh Bachchan had the Indian audience glued to their television screens every time his show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' aired. The viewers would watch the show with bated breath as each contestant made his or her way steadily towards the coveted prize money. While the show's initial prize money was one crore, it gradually increased through the many seasons of the show and eventually reached seven crores.
However, recently there were reports that owing to his busy schedule, the show would have a new host for the upcoming season and actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit Nene had been in talks for the same. But Big B’s fans can now rejoice as it has been confirmed that the superstar will be back for another thrilling season of the show. The actor only has 17 days to shoot the entire season and although the shooting will commence from August, the schedule will be divided between August and September. Mr. Bachchan will thus have to complete shooting for 30 episodes within 17 days.
