Amitabh Bachchan to play a role in makeup man, Deepak Sawant’s first Hindi production

After making four Bhojpuri films, including the trilogy — ‘Ganga’, ‘Gangotri’, ‘Ganga Devi’ — and ‘Akka’ in Marathi with Amitabh Bachchan, makeup man to the actor for 45 years has now made his way into Bollywood and is all set to produce his first Hindi production. What’s more? Amitabh Bachchan will star in the film!

This will be the duo's fifth collaboration and is a political-drama titled ‘The Great Leader’. The film will also feature Big B’s wife, Jaya Bachchan in the film. The couple will play in-laws of a girl on whom the story will revolve around. Gulshan Grover too is on board to play the villain in the film.

Deepak started working for senior Bachchan as his make-up artist from his 1972 film, ‘Raaste Kaa Patthar’ and he even shares a close bond with the actor. Amitabh Bachchan considers Deepika family now.

Reports suggest that when Deepika’s wife Sarod was suffering from a serious illness back in 2014 and was doing rounds of hospitals, the actor gifted her one of his favourite cars from his personal collection knowing too well that Sarod was a major car-enthusiast too.

Well, this producer-actor duo sounds as good as it gets and we can’t wait to see how great this production will be!
