Angry over road mess and traffic jam, residents of Pali Hill stall the shooting of Sanjay Dutt's biopic
Ranbir Kapoor is currently shooting for Sanjay Dutt's biopic at the actor's residence. However, recently during the shooting of the film at the actor's house, Pali Hill residents stalled the shoot.

The local residents were angry with the fact that the shooting crew had blocked the road for over 40 minutes and post the shoot left it littered and unfit for use. This standoff between the crew and residents came to an end at 9 am when Rajkumari Hirani came and apologised to the angry residents.

Madhu Poplai, secretary of Pali Hill Residents' Association said, "There was a scene where Ranbir was supposed to drive a Ferrari into Sanjay Dutt's house on Pali Hill. The rest of the shooting was supposed to take place inside the house. The shooting started at 6 am and continued for three hours. Soon, it was time for people to go out for work or other daily tasks. But they were stuck in traffic congestion as the crew was shooting in the middle of the road."

The secretary further added that the association was not aware that any such shoot was scheduled to take place. What escalated the matters further was the fact that despite the residents requesting the crew to move the equipment no one bothered.

Poplai revealed, "As a result, the whole road was blocked. This obviously frayed the nerves. Also, the entire unit had littered the road. They threw paper plates, cups and other garbage everywhere. We were not even aware that such a shoot was to take place here. The film unit did not inform the residents' association nor did they seek any permission from us."

It was not until the director Rajkumar Hirani came out and apologised that the matters cooled down. Hirani requested the association to give the crew 10 more minutes to wrap up the shoot.

Talking about the incident, a crew member said, "There was a problem at Pali Hill and Hirani himself had to come out to apologise to the people. After the shoot, we made sure that all garbage was picked up and dumped at a proper place."
