Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn and Arshad Warsi to star in ‘Total Dhamaal’

Filmmaker Indra Kumar is all set to start shooting for ‘Total Dhamaal’, which will mark the third installment of the popular comedy franchise. However, the director has decided to have a fresh cast on board this time and as per reports, Sanjay Dutt and Riteish Deshmukh won’t be a part of the sequel. The makers have decided that it would be Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor who would replace them, and Arshad Warsi would continue to be a part of the series.
Talking about this, a source close to the project revealed, “Discussions with Sanjay fizzled out, while Riteish is busy with his Marathi production ‘Shivaji’. Moreover, Indra wants to start with a fresh cast and concept. Anil (in ‘Welcome’), Ajay (‘Golmaal’) and Arshad (‘Munnabhai’, ‘Dhamaal’ and ‘Golmaal’) are all part of successful franchises, so the makers (Ashok Thakeria and Indra) thought it would be wonderful to get the three together. Moreover, Anil (‘Beta’) and Ajay (‘Ishq’) have both delivered big hits with the director and are looking forward to working with Kumar again. Both actors have liked the script on principle, while Arshad is yet to hear it.”
While there has been no confirmation, it is speculated that other characters like those played by Jaaved Jaaferi and Ashish Chowdhary may remain the same.
