'Simran' writer Apurva Asrani recently took to his Facebook handle to announce that he has Bell's Palsy. The condition has left his face partially paralysed. The writer penned a long post in which he recounted his fear when he woke up ‘two months ago’ and couldn’t feel movement in his face. He also shared several images along with the post. Apurva had initially feared that he had suffered a stroke but an MRI ruled that out. He also believes that the next few months will be crucial to his recovery.

The writer was also recently involved in a much public spat with Kangana Ranaut and Hansal Mehta. He had accused them of taking over his screenplay for the recent film, 'Simran', and having had his credit removed. Post this he had also vowed never to work with Hansal again. But both Hansal and Kangana had denied these allegations. Recently even Angelina Jolie had revealed that she had Bell's Palsy post her split with Brad Pitt. A leading media portal revealed, “Bell’s palsy is a temporary partial facial paralysis that occurs when the nerve controlling the facial muscles is inflamed.” We wish a speedy recovery to Apurva. Stay tuned for more updates.
