With Prasoon Joshi stepping in as the new CBFC chief, all eyes are on the decisions he and the body are taking regarding movie released and their certification. Recently, Arjun Rampal’s much-awaited biopic based on Aru Gawli’s life was certified as ‘A’, however the decision did not bother the actor at all.

“I’d have been genuinely surprised if our film was not given an ‘A’. The film is about a personality, who shared an ambivalent relationship with the law, so, yes, it is a film for adults,” asserted Rampal. He added, “I was given the choice of an ‘A’ and a ‘U/A’ with several cuts. But the cuts would have taken away from the raw and real feel of the film. So, I was advised against it by the CBFC members. As for the three verbal cuts, they make no difference to my film.”

‘Daddy’ will hit the theatres on 8th September.
