Rajasthan Government had earlier filed a petition in Jodhpur district and session court challenging the acquittal of actor Salman Khan in an Arms Act case, regarding the alleged poaching of two blackbucks 18 years ago. The actor will be appearing in Jodhpur court today regarding the case.

As per the Court, Salman, who was shooting for his film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' back in 1998, was in possession of arms - .32 US-made revolver and .22 rifle - post the expiry of their license. The Court’s petition says that the prosecution failed to prove the charges against him and will therefore have to appear before the court for a hearing.

The defense has maintained that the Salman is being falsely framed in the cases.
