Asha Bhosle is elated that her iconic song 'Raat Baaki' has been used in 'Ittefaq'

Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha are all set to sizzle on the silver screen with their upcoming film 'Ittefaq'. The trailer for the film recently came out, and it has all the elements of a dark thriller film - mystery and deceit. The first song for the film, titled 'Raat Baaki' was also recently released by the filmmakers and it has the audience going gaga all over it.
The original song was sung by veteran singer Asha Bhosle and Bappi Lahiri and starred Shashi Kapoor in the film 'Namak Halal'. The new version is somewhat similar to the old track but has different lyrics. It has been sung by Jubin Nautiyal and Nikita Gandhi.
On Thursday, Sidharth and Sonakshi shared Asha Bhosle's comments on the new song and she is thrilled with the fact the film has used her iconic song. Here's what Sidharth tweeted:
During the trailer launch, Sonakshi had stated that she had not even watched the original film. She said, "The way the film is rewritten and adapted to fit in today’s scenario and time makes it a fresh film. I am looking at it as a new film." Directed by Abhay Chopra, 'Ittefaq' is slated to release on November 3.
