Ayushmann Khurrana finally spills beans on 'Manmarziyan' being shelved
There has been too much hullabaloo around the filming of Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer 'Manmarziyan'. The film was announced in January this year and was to be helmed by director Sameer Sharma. However, in March Sameer was shown the door as Aanand was not happy with the rushes that were shot in Shimla and Amritsar during the first schedule of the film. Later, Ashwiny Iyer of the 'Nil Battey Sannata' fame was brought onboard to direct the film.

While Rai has refrained from commenting on any development in the film, Ayushmann has finally taken matters in his hand. Talking about 'Manmarziyan' to a leading magazine, Ayushmann said, "Aanand and I did discuss about Ashwiny taking over the film. Unfortunately, our dates couldn’t match. I became busy with 'Meri Pyaari Bindu' and Bhumi with her film 'Toilet – Ek Prem Katha'. I don’t know us film ka kya hoga." He further added, "There were creative differences. So I guess, we lost the flow. It’s unfortunate. I’d love to work with Bhumi again… more so now in her new glam avatar."

This statement by Ayushmann on the development of the film indicates that the 'Manmarziyan' is not to see the light of the day. At least not until producer Aanand finds a director who stands up to his expectations.
