The rumour mills have been buzzing that the sequel might star Deepika Padukone in the lead
If reports are to be believed, a sequel to actor Varun Dhawan's 2015-hit 'Badlapur' is in making. In fact, the reports that there is a sequel in making has been doing rounds since the film was declared a hit.

When asked about the same, producer Dinesh Vijan said, “I am working on the sequel to Badlapur with director Sriram Raghavan. This is the film which I am really looking forward to start. Sriram is still in the writing process but this time there will be a female protagonist.”

The rumour mills have been buzzing that the sequel might star Deepika Padukone in the lead, but nothing has been finalised yet. Deepika is currently shooting for 'Padmavati' and will soon begin the shoot for Vishal Bhardwaj's next based on Rahima Khan AKA Sapna Didi soon.

Dinesh Vijan's directorial debut 'Raabta' starring Kriti Sanon and Sushant Singh Rajput is all set to release on June 9.
