Sridevi is a revered actress and even more, a respected artist in the industry. And hence it comes as no surprise that the actress has several fans too. And today we’ve got interesting news regarding Sridevi and one of her fan clubs based out of Bangalore. A Bangalore-based fan club of Sridevi's is all set to kick off a five-part documentary-drama series on the life of the actress as she will complete 50 years in the movies.

The project is an untitled one yet and has finally been given a go-ahead after four co-founders of the club had several meetings with Sridevi’s filmmaker-husband, Boney Kapoor. They informed him that the hour-long films will be a culmination of archival footage and extensive interviews with Sridevi’s co-stars from Hindi and South films, as well as her family.

“The first film will chronicle Sridevi’s career as a child artist in MA Thirumugham’s 'Thunaivan' at four, and her work as a child actor in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. The second and third films will portray her Bollywood debut as a child artiste in the 1975 hit 'Julie' and her first adult role at 13 with the Tamil film 'Moondru Mudichu'. As a leading lady, she debuted in 'Solva Sawan' (1978) and gained widespread recognition with 'Himmatwala' (1983), 'Mr. India' (1987), 'Chandni' (1989), 'Sadma' (1983), 'Nagina' (1986), 'Chaalbaaz' (1989), 'Lamhe' (1991), 'Khuda Gawa'h (1992), 'Gumrah' (1993), 'Laadla' (1994),” a source said.

The films will focus on Sridevi’s 15-year hiatus and ‘comeback film’ with Gauri Shinde’s ‘English Vinglish’ and the fact that she won the Padma Shri honour. The films will also feature interviews by Sridevi and magazine covers from the eighties.
