Bhansali tightens security on ‘Padmavati’ sets, wants to keep Deepika and Shahid’s look under wraps

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for the grandeur of his film sets and costumes. So much so that SLB tries his best to keep the looks of each of his character under wraps. Ranveer Singh during 'Bajirao Mastani' had to go bald for his look as Peshwa Bajirao, and for the majority of his time, the actor was asked not to make public appearances so as to guard his look. And this time too, as SLB shoots for his magnum opus 'Padmavati', the filmmaker is making all ends meet to keep Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor's look in the film under wraps.

'Padmavati' is to release in November, and stars Deepika Padukone in the titular role, Shahid will play her husband Raja Ratan Singh Rawal of Chittor, whereas Ranveer will play the role of powerful ruler Alauddin Khilji. While Ranveer's look in the film is out as he often dons it at his public appearances, Deepika and Shahid's look in the film is strictly not to be revealed. Reportedly, SLB has tightened the security of his set so that DP and Shahid's look doesn't leak out. A source revealed, "Sanjay has increased the security at the shoot, no camera or camera phones are allowed inside the sets, even actors are not allowed to carry their mobiles on sets."

The source further added, "Sanjay is planning a very unique way to introduce the look of Raja Ratan Singh Rawal of Chittor and the Queen of Chittor (Shahid and Deepika) and their looks are outstanding."
