Bhumi Pednekar on getting significant roles: I really hope to continue getting such roles

Bhumi Pednekar has played different kinds of character in every film. She leaves a mark in each role she portrays. Bhumi has played a flabby woman in 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' and totally transformed herself in 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan', where she played a girl next door character.


Bhumi said she feels extremely happy when her films do well at the box-office, she feels very lucky to have got such fabulous roles, “You feel happy when your films do well commercially but I feel extremely lucky about the kind of roles I have got. Yes, it is great to be part of a film that has done well but it is even better to have something substantial to do in a film." The actress also added, “I really hope to continue getting such roles. I am really happy the way life is going on."


The 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan' actress has now encouraged her mother to venture into films, her mother is all set to make her debut as a producer in 'The Journey of Bhangover'. Her mother said, “I came into films because of my daughter, Bhumi Pednekar. She is doing so well and she urged me to start doing something as she said, ‘Mom, why don’t you start doing something. You are sitting at home and killing your talent’.”


Bhumi will be seen next 'Chambal', alongside Sushant Singh Rajput. The film revolves around the Chambal dacoits. The film is directed by Abhishek Chaubey.
