Bipasha Basu on pregnancy rumours: There’s a lot more to a woman

Bipasha Basu and husband Karan Singh Grover will complete two years of marital bliss next month and the couple seems to be having the time of their lives on a recent vacation they took. Last year, Karan and Bipasha were spotted at a hospital and the buzz that took to the Internet was that Bipasha was pregnant. However, those rumours turned out to be baseless and the couple's spokesperson even commented saying that they were untrue.
Earlier, Bipasha had also said, "I plan to wait two years" when asked about family planning. At a recent event, Bipasha opened up on these rumours and said, "This is ridiculous; it’s a sad thing for women. I know that having a baby is a wonderful feeling, but there’s a lot more to a woman. Just because you’re married, you don’t have to have a baby."
She also said that rumours don’t affect her. "Every celebrity is an individual, so they should stand up for themselves. Most of the times, rumours don’t bother me- and when they do, I take them on, in a straightforward way," the actress added. Earlier, on the topic, she had also tweeted, "Amused yet again. I kept a bag on my lap while getting into my car and certain media people started my pregnancy speculation again. Guys, I am not pregnant. Kind of getting irritating. Stay calm. It will happen only when we want it."
