The BMC (BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation) has served a notice to actor Amitabh Bachchan for alleged illegal construction of his bungalow that is going to come up in Film City in Goregaon East. The BMC has also served this notice to six others regarding the same issue. Along with the mega-star, the notice has been sent to the likes of Rajkumar Hirani, Pankaj Balaji and Oberoi Realty under the Maharashtra Regional Town Planning Act, on December 7, 2016, as stated by activist Anil Galgali.

Anil said, “The notices were sent after variations were observed by the BMC’s P-South Ward Office, in contrast to the Approved Plan of the bungalows scheme in Oberoi Realty’s Ciba Layout, near the Film City". A BMC team that inspected the area found several violations and reported back saying that the work going on wasn't as per sanction plans.

Galgali also claimed that in the past the BMC did not wait for any clarifications and demolished the unauthorised constructions of actor Shah Rukh Khan as also booked the likes of Kapil Sharma for flouting rules. “Then why they are dilly-dallying when the matter concerns Amitabh Bachchan and other celebrities?”, he asked. Letters have already been sent to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and BMC Municipal Commissioner Ajoy Mehta seeking immediate action regarding the issue.

Stay tuned to know more about the matter.
