Chetan Bhagat: "Sonam Kapoor does not have a filter!"

Neha Dhupia's #NoFilterNeha has been doing very well and has had some of the biggest names in Bollywood on her talk show. Recently, when Chetan Bhagat was present as the guest on the show, Neha asked him about Sonam's appointment as the ambassador for ‘Word to Screen Market’ segment of MAMI.
To this question, the ‘Half Girlfriend’ writer was quick to quip, "Good for her that she became the ambassador. However, I remember reading an article where she had said: “I want to do a session to encourage book adaptations." It is very funny because she said that look at Kai Po Che – it was not such a great book, but it became a great movie. And I was like, Okay Sonam! That is some way to encourage books."
Seems like Chetan is not very happy about this remark by Sonam, and further added, "You cannot make a good movie if the book is not good. It is impossible. Because the fundamental base story is what drives everything. You can make a bad movie from a good book but it is very hard to make a good movie from a bad book. That apart, it's okay. That’s Sonam, I know her and I know she doesn’t have a filter. I don’t think she was thinking 'Oh let me bring this book down' because she has launched one of my books, Revolution 2020."
