Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis and actor Salman Khan have come together to launch a fund in the Mantralaya to help the needy with their medical expenses. The duo had even come together almost a year back to launch a 'Rural Medical Aid Fund' for the proper medication of the poor and then too, the fund was launched at Mantralaya. This time too, they have joined hands to do something similar called the 'Gram Medical Assistance Fund'.

The facility provided is available on all diseases upto a minimum of Rs. 2 lakhs and those in need of it can contact the Mantralaya directly. The patient in need is required to have an income certificate within one lakh as also a Kesari or a yellow ration card and an Aadhaar card. And if the patient is from outside Mumbai then the hospital's quotation for treatment is required. In regards to children and girls having a heart attack and not getting the necessary treatment, Salman Khan will personally be responsible for their recovery. And if you know of a person who needs the treatment, Salman’s Being Human will notify the organization via email.

Other than treatments, the fund also includes medicine facilities for diseases of the kidney and cancer wherein the medication turns out to be highly expensive. 'Hope Speciality Pharma', just minutes away from Dadar station will provide these medicines at low prices.
