CONFIRMED! Fatima Sana Shaikh to star in ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’

Names by the likes of Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor popped up as speculations for the leading lady of Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Thigs Of Hindostan'. Touted to be one of the biggest upcoming films, 'Thugs Of Hindostan' will see Aamir and Big B share the screen space for the first time ever.

Recently, there were reports that suggested the film was delayed as the makers couldn't finalise on the female lead for the film. However, the makers now confirm that 'Dangal' actress Fatima Sana Shaikh is on board with 'Thugs Of Hindostan'.

Talking about Fatima's role in the film, director Vijay Krishna Acharya revealed, "The role of the girl is pivotal to the film so it was crucial for us to find the perfect fit. Through a rigorous round of auditions and action workshops, we found in Fatima a truly dedicated actor and a gifted performer of action. We are very happy to have found the perfect girl for our film."

Produced by Yash Raj Films, the makers assert that the film will be a grand cinematic experience as it unites Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir for the first time. The cast and crew will begin shooting for the film on June 1, and the film is expected to hit theatres around Diwali next year.
