After ‘PadMan’ had shifted their release date to February 9, now the makers of ‘Aiyaary have sifted the film to February 16th. As before it was going to hit the theatres on February 9th along with ‘PadMan’ but now the Akshay Kumar film will have a solo release. A film trade analyst had tweeted about the new release date.

‘Aiyaary’ was supposed to release during the long weekend of the Republic day. But later Akshay Kumar also announced the new release date for his film due to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ release. As the filmmaker had requested Akshay Kumar and the makers of the film to shift their release date as they would also get a solo release date. Considering it to be the clash the producers of the relatively the small-budget film ‘Aiyaary’, decided to shift their film to February 9 after both ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘PadMan’ was supposed to release together.

Apparently now the release of ‘Aiyaary’ is shifted to a new date, it’ll be a free run for ‘PadMan’ which is likely to get more than 2000 screens. The trade analyst said, “It’s CONFIRMED... #Aiyaary shifted to 16 Feb 2018.”

Sidharth Malhotra had said earlier about working in deep-rooted roles, “Deep-rooted characters like in ‘Ittefaq’ or ‘Aiyaary’, had lot of depth, which I personally like and I think you just grow (as actor). I think to do just a love story becomes sightly frivolous. If you do not have crutches of a love story, then the character has multiple layers and can take you on a different journey in a film.”

The film stars Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee in lead roles.
