'Dangal' actress’ molestation case: Businessman arrested by Mumbai Police

'Dangal' fame actress who has proved how talented she is with her challenging roles, has gone on to become an icon in our country. Her latest film 'Secret Superstar' was a blockbuster hit and created a special place in the audience's hearts. But, her latest encounter in a Vistara airlines flight has left the young actress scarred.

The young star was on a flight from Delhi to Mumbai when a man behind her began to touch her inappropriately. The actress then took to her Instagram account to post a story about the entire incident. Her Instagram story was posted in two separate videos, one, which she recorded on board the plane and the other after landing in Mumbai. The actress narrated how the man made her two-hour journey unbearable. Scroll on below to watch the videos:





In her videos, the actress claimed that the man kept pushing his leg up and down her back and neck area. She also said that she wanted to record the entire incident but the cabin lights were too dim. A few hours after the incident occurred and she put up her stories, the airlines made an official statement that they had "zero tolerance" for such incidents and that they would extend support to the star in "every way" required even as the airline itself carries out a "detailed investigation".

According to reports in a leading media agency, Mumbai Police had recorded the actresses' statement and were registering an offence accordingly. The Mumbai Police had issued a statement which reads, "A FIR is registered at sahar Police station under relevant sections of IPC r/w POCSOA. Considering the nature of offence and victim being minor, media is requested to take precautions as to avoid legal consequences. The investigation is on."

As per new updates, The suspect, a 39-year-old businessman from Mumbai named Vikas Satpal Sachadev was identified with the help of the airline and the description provided by actor. He will be produced in a magistrate court on Monday. Stay tuned for more updates.
