Zaira Wasim rescued by locals after her car falls in the Dal lake

'Dangal' girl Zaira Wasim, who will next be seen in 'Secret Superstar' had a narrow escape after her car fell into the Dal Lake on Thursday.

According to reports, Zaira was travelling along with her friend, Arif Ahmed, when the accident took place and both were rescued by the locals. The actress was travelling in a white Scorpio that belonged to a local politician in Greater Kashmir when the incident took place. Apparently, the vehicle was moving at a high speed and the driver lost the control of the car.

Talking to a news agency, the local present at the accident site revealed, "Locals immediately rescued her and her companion. She escaped unhurt, but her companion sustained injuries in the accident." Mudasir Bashir, another eye-witness informed a leading daily, "Both of them survived but her friend suffered several injuries."

Zaira Wasim shot to fame after she played the role of a young Geeta Phogat in Nitesh Tiwari's 'Dangal'. The young actress even won the National Award for Best Supporting Female Actor for her performance in the movie.
