Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are now man and wife!

It won’t be an exaggeration to say that all that the country can talk about right now is the marriage of Deepika Padukone to Ranveer Singh. And well, the couple has finally tied the knot today in Italy. The ceremony took place at a resort overlooking Lake Como in Italy and was attended only by close friends and family. Sources inform us that the ceremony took place with just 40 people in attendance.

The wedding took place in traditional South Indian style and prior to it on Tuesday, the couple exchanged rings wherein we’re told that Ranveer, being the romantic man he is, went down on one knee whilst slipping the ring on to Deepika’s finger. On Tuesday, they also hosted their sangeet and mehendi ceremonies. The Anand Karaj ceremony will take place tomorrow, on Thursday. We’re informed that it’s a high-security zone too. From special wristbands to patrolling boats to no mobile phone cameras, everything has been done to ensure the security of the venues in Italy.
