Just yesterday we brought to you that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati' has been cleared by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) without any cuts and that it would be screened for the UK audience. However, recent reports suggest that the producers of the film are not planning to release it without Indian censor board’s go-ahead. The Supreme Court now has agreed to hear a fresh petition on the 28th of November for a direction to the producers of the film not to release it in the UK.

A functionary of the production house of 'Padmavati' said that there was no plan to release the film globally without it being cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The British censor board stated on their official website, “Padmavati (12A) moderate violence, injury detail.” “All known versions of this work passed uncut,” it said. However, sources at the production house said that they were not planning to release the film anywhere in the world without the CBFC nod.
