Dhanush keen on making a ‘Barfi!’ remake?

Recreating the magic of iconic Bollywood movies on the silver screen through remakes is a time-honoured tradition of Bollywood. In fact, some remakes, like Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Academy nominated ‘Devdas’, have been touted to be more successful than even the originals.
In fact, southern superstar Dhanush recently revealed that he would like to remake Anurag Basu’s ‘Barfi!’. “I love everything about ‘Barfi!’. It is a special film. And Ranbir is just fantastic. Actually, he’s one of the finest actors in the history of Indian cinema. I would love to make ‘Barfi!’ down South and act in it as well.” It sure would be interesting to watch Dhanush step into Ranbir’s shoes.
Dhanush will next be seen on the silver screen in the Tamil movie ‘VIP 2’. Co-starring Bollywood actress Kajol, the movie will hit the theatres on 28th July and clash with Anees Bazmee’s comedy-drama ‘Mubarakan’.
