Did Katrina's team just take a nasty dig at Deepika?

Recently Deepika Padukone became the face of an International cosmetics brand. As soon as the reports of Deepika coming onboard as the brand ambassador surfaced, the rumours mills went abuzz with the reports that brand had dropped Katrina in favour of Deepika.

While both the actress' are not known to share a very warm vibe, the reports of replacement further upset the equation between the two. While Deepika did not open up about replacing Katrina, Katrina's team slammed the reports of replacement as 'rubbish' and 'completely untrue'. According to Katrina's rep, Katrina chose to way away from the brand as she plans on launching her own cosmetic brand.

A source close to the actress quoted, "Let's talk facts: The international cosmetic brand that signed Katrina doesn't let go of its brand ambassadors—be it Aishwarya Rai Bachchan or Sonam Kapoor either. Katrina was with them for two years, but when an opportunity to launch her own line of cosmetics presented itself, Kat was interested. She did the ethical thing and told the international brand that she wanted to opt out as it would mean a conflict of interest. She could have continued without anybody knowing."

When quizzed about the reports of unprofessional behaviour and allegedly her non-cooperative behaviour, the source further added, "Why is there insecurity about Katrina? Wonder who DP's advisers are, who are behaving like this? One could understand if you don't have anything. But when you do, what is the need to pull down others to push yourself up?"
