Did Rohit Shetty make alterations in ‘Golmaal Again’ script for Tabu?

There have been many speculations around ‘Golmaal Again’ since director Rohit Shetty announced the film. First, the film was in news for rumours surrounding its leading lady, until Rohit confirmed that Parineeti Chopra has been roped in to play the part. Post which there were reports that suggested Tabu is to play a prominent role in the film, which later Tabu confirmed. And now, rumour mills are abuzz that the film is slightly delayed.

While Tabu has confirmed that she has signed on for the film, a leading daily report suggests that the actress had earlier refused to take up the role. According to DNA, Tabu had initially said no to ‘Golmaal Again’ as the actress thought the role was more like a cameo.

A source close to the daily revealed, “When Rohit Shetty went to Tabu with the narration she wasn’t too happy with her role. It was almost like a special appearance and she didn’t have much to do. It’s the role of an astrologer who makes some funny predictions. But the filmmaker wanted only Tabu in that role as she’s a very talented actress so Rohit asked her for some time. He went back with his team of writers and re-wrote the character only for her. When he went to her with the new script, she loved the role and said yes. Now, it is meatier and has more shades.”

Well, who wouldn’t want an actress like Tabu to be a part of their film! With Tabu now on board, ‘Golmaal Again’ is going to be worth the wait.
