Did you know? ‘Julie 2’ actress Raai Laxmi has dated MS Dhoni

Romance between young and dashing Indian cricketers and beautiful Bollywood actresses has been a time honoured affair. While some relationships fizzle out, some culminate into marriage and the world remembers them. But some are those that never make it to the public eye at all.

Not many people know that Raai Laxmi, the leading lady in the upcoming movie ‘Julie 2’, once dated the legendry 2011 World Cup winning captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. In fact, when the former Skipper’s biopic starring Sushant Singh Rajput was coming up, Raai was nervous about her part being included in the movie. She even asserted, “I was the brand ambassador for the team that he was a part of and we were together for less than a year. We had never committed to each other and never thought of getting married either, so I don’t understand why people would talk about us. It didn’t work for us, so we moved on.”

Ultimately, her character did not make its way into the movie’s script and thus, not many people know about this hushed up affair. On the work front, Raai, a big name in the Southern film industry, has done 49 movies till now and ‘Julie 2’ is her 50th film.
